Do you watch movies frequently?

Does it have an impact on your personal life?

Many fans of watching movies have expressed the effect of films on their personal lives, whether positively or negatively. There some films that help individuals to transform their characters and also helps them to gain many skills such as getting to know other cultures and acquiring new languages.

My future from a movie

I think most will agree with me that a lot of people are watching movies nowadays. Everyone has their traditions in watching movies. I consider myself one of the people who love to watch movies a lot, as it had an aspect in my choice of university specialization, and it is also one of the things that I do on a daily and permanent basis.

I started watching movies at an early age but under the supervision of my parents. watching movies also helped me to gain many skills, including learning some languages, solving problems, and how to deal with different situations. My parents were keen on making us watch useful films which aimed to deliver a positive and beneficial message to society.

I am a student at the Faculty of Law. I was confused by this specialization when I was ten years old. crime and investigation films influenced me, which made me care very much for the work of lawyers and their way of organizing and solving the problems of others

The judge

In 2014 the film "The Judge" was produced. It talks about a famous lawyer who lives in the city and deals with the logic that the right and the law are with those who pay for it, as he is good at using the law to rid his clients of their crimes. This film had an impact on my life and my personality, as it was one of the reasons that motivated me to study law.

How Technological convergence helped the film industry?

Because of the widespread use of the Internet, many programs and companies have

emerged as a form of entertainment. Netflix is one of the biggest film-making companies that also produce them. It adopted the idea of technological convergence by making movies easier by connecting to the Internet, which made watching movies at present much easier than before (Jordan, 2018). Movies can be watched at any time and any place, even while moving from one place to another. In addition, YouTube is not only limited to showing films, but it is also promoting them and publishing them on a wider scale (What Is Media Convergence? - Definition & Explanation, 2018). Technological convergence has become a great supporter of many films, as it has caused marketing campaigns to run films for little money (technological convergence in the film industry, 2012). It helped to increase viewership due to social media marketing. With the advent of electronic devices such as phones and computers, it became easy to book tickets or watch movies on CD. Technological convergence is one of the reasons behind the rise in movie viewership. And one of the films that got high viewership due to marketing through technology convergence is "Tailor" and "Tinker".

It has been mentioned in many articles and interviews about how Netflix has become so popular and how it has become one of the most important entertainment tools for many people, in this TED talk Reed Hastings will explain how Netflix changed entertainment.

.

Technological determinism in the film industry:

Many unexpected relationships have appeared in our way of transmitting and recording sounds in conjunction with the movement of images in movies.

Because of the developments in the world of cinematic technology. The cinema also collected many forms of art, which was the cause of the entertainment industry for the viewers.

Actors have a great role in the way of embodying roles in movies and how to deliver the event with high accuracy and skill. The filmmaking field has advanced in recent times to become the preferred way to influence the audience, whether it was positively or negatively (Technological Determinism and the Rise of Cinema, 2014). In a positive way, cinema can be used for educational purposes through targeted educational films or using it in a negative way such as showing films that encourage violence among members of society.

The spread of YouTube and Netflix:

The diffusion of innovation is a way of how innovations spread in different types of channels at a certain time for society and people (Puspasari, 2012). YouTube is one of the ways that help to spread innovation. It helps individuals to download and share movies and other videos.

Besides YouTube, Netflix is also an innovation that provides movies, series, and documentaries. It has become a popular app that speared through the internet very quickly and reached 137 million subscribers (Leong, 2018).

It carried out data analysis to find out what people want to watch. It has been mentioned that this is an important strategy to gain loyalty and more users. It also helps to build a good reputation due to the satisfaction of its users. There are some statistics that show the number of subscribers of Netflix due to the spread of it (SMITH, 2020).

Knowledge worker and economy :

The knowledge workers in the field of making films are the workers who spend most of their working time searching for what attracts the viewer and what they like to follow up permanently.

In the field of films, the workers search for the viewers' tendencies, such as the type of films they watch like (horror - drama - family - action), and the also search for the language that the viewer prefer to watch their movies (Alony, Whymark & Jones, 2007).

This helps the viewer to select the appropriate films faster. some of the programs that show films like Netflix and YouTube it display a list called the "recommended list". This list contains movies and videos similar to what the viewer has seen before.

In addition to knowledge workers, there is a knowledge economy. The knowledge economy has a major role in the filmmaking industry, as it relies heavily on creativity (Mehta & Harles, 2017).

Many film producers have a large percentage of creativity that helped them to make their films successful and get a high percentage of views.

The most important point of their creativity is to know the requirements of the viewer, as they study what the viewer tends to like and love to watch so that they can provide an integrated film that admires many people, and they also deliver messages through their presentation of films, whether it was negative or positive.

Therefore, we can say that the field of the cinema industry is closely related to technology, where they have a strong relationship. Each of them completes the second part, and it may be one of the reasons for its success.
